About Miles
Miles is an IT company with a vision to be an outstanding workplace based on the values of professional authority and warmth. We provide IT consulting services, projects, and advisory services. The CEO is the data controller.
Personal data about visitors to our websites
We do not track people across their devices and across the websites and apps they visit. All data is isolated to a single day, a single website, and only one device. There is no way to know if the same person visits a website from more than one device or visits a different website.
Website Usage Analysis
We use privacy-friendly analytics tools to understand how visitors use miles.no, so that we can improve the content, structure, and user experience on the website.
We use Webflow Insight/Analyze to obtain aggregated statistics about website traffic and usage. This is used, for example, to see which pages are visited, how the website is used, and how we can improve the content. The information is not used for advertising, retargeting, or profiling of individuals.
We also use Plausible Analytics to measure website traffic. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies, browser storage, or persistent identifiers. Plausible does not track visitors across websites, devices, or over time, and the data is not used for advertising or profiling.
The purpose of the analysis is to improve the website and make the content more relevant and useful for visitors. We do not use the analytics tools to identify individuals.

When you use the contact form to express your interest as a job applicant, we collect the following personal data:

The purpose of this is to establish contact with you as a job applicant.
This information is stored in our recruitment data systems and managed by the HR manager in each Miles company.
The information is deleted if the candidate is no longer relevant for employment. Depending on the consent obtained, all personal data will be deleted immediately or retained.
Personal data about event participants
When you sign up for an event/course with us, we collect the following personal data:
Name
Company name
Email address
Phone number
The purpose of this is to keep track of registered participants for each event, to provide effective information to the participant, and to request feedback after the event if we wish to do so.
This information is collected with consent and deleted immediately after the event unless consent for retention has also been given.

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties.
Rights
As a user of our websites, you have the right to request access to the personal data we process about you and how it is processed. You can also request correction, deletion, and restriction of the processing of personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act.
