Servant Leadership – the core of our philosophy
At Miles, we've always believed in leadership that supports and inspires, not controls. We call it the Miles philosophy – an approach built on trust in our employees. Our employees know how to achieve great results, both for themselves and for our clients.
In 2013, the Norwegian School of Economics confirmed that our philosophy aligns with Servant Leadership – a model that puts employees first, because we know that satisfied employees create satisfied customers. Since then, we've called our daily managers 'daily servants,' and our group CEO proudly bears the title 'group servant' – voted Norway's best job title in 2018.
We don't believe in traditional budgets or rigid objectives, but rather in dynamic frameworks and ambitious goals that provide flexibility and freedom to achieve results. Our servants ensure that employees have the freedom, tools, and support they need to succeed. We give our employees the freedom to make their own choices, because we know that those closest to the challenges also have the best solutions.
When our employees thrive, the results are excellent. This is perhaps why Miles has been named Norway's best workplace twice and is regularly highlighted as one of Norway's most innovative companies. Through our philosophy, we build a culture where trust, warmth, and people are always at the center.
This is what makes Miles a warm, inclusive, and outstanding company – for both employees and clients.
